Gordon was an outstanding CEO at a time when our business was going through massive change. Above all he was a great friend. I enjoyed many business experiences with him but our trip to South Africa will never be forgotten. I always knew he was competitive but he laughed his way through several evenings of thrashing me at snooker and then on the golf course.
